who I understand from the seller died just recently at the age of 85

and is emblematic of Takei's woodblock prints

Alphabet and Animal Blocks antique checkers set Nice patina and nice ironA great, well used, early set of blocks, early 20th c. and made by the US Embossing Company I believe with letters (on four sides, in two different styles) and animals on the two others. I of course believe one can never have too many sets of blocks, and alphabet blocks especially in order to be able to spell out all sorts of messages! 1 13 16 cubed. Well worn as evident, but in my opinion all the better for it.
